We wanted home fire safety to be something you’d actually keep close, not a dull pouch shoved in the back of a cupboard. So we put a fire blanket inside something you’d want on display anyway: a coffee table book.
Instead of being out of sight, the book stays out in the open, on the wall or on a shelf in or near your kitchen. You can see it and reach it, so you know exactly where it is if a small fire ever starts while you’re cooking.
Pull the tabs, take out the blanket and lay it over the flames. No chemicals, no powder and nothing to refill. Each blanket is single use, so replace it after a fire.
Inside is a 1 m × 1 m woven fiberglass blanket, designed to help smother small, contained fires at home, such as a burning pan or pot.
- Designed to fit your home: fire safety that looks good on the shelf
- Within reach where you need it: keep it near the kitchen, not lost in a cupboard
- Simple to use: pull the tabs, cover the fire, leave it to cool
For small, contained household fires only. Not a replacement for smoke alarms, a fire extinguisher or the fire service. Never use water on burning oil. Not for lithium-ion battery fires or electrical equipment that is still plugged in. In any fire, get everyone to safety first and call your local emergency number.

How to use it in 3 steps
Keep it within reach of the stove. One per room is ideal.
Cover the fire
Lay it over the flames, placing it away from you. Never throw it or flap it. Turn off the heat if it's safe to do so.
Leave it for 30 minutes
Don't lift it to check. Air can reignite the fire, so let it cool completely.
If the fire doesn't go out, leave the room, close the door and call emergency services.

FAQ
How does the fire blanket work?
How does the fire blanket work?
Pull the blanket from its book-shaped case and lay it over the flames. It smothers the fire by cutting off its oxygen, putting it out in seconds, with no chemicals, no powder, and no mess to clean up afterward.
What kinds of fires can it handle?
What kinds of fires can it handle?
It's designed for common household fires, stovetop and pan fires, small appliance fires, and clothing that catches alight. At 1m x 1m, it's large enough to cover most everyday flare-ups before they spread. For grease and cooking fires especially, a blanket is safer and cleaner than a standard extinguisher.
Where should I keep it?
Where should I keep it?
Anywhere a fire could start and anywhere you'd want it within reach, the kitchen, living room, by the fireplace, or in a caravan. Because it's disguised as a coffee table book, you can leave it out in plain sight instead of hiding it in a cupboard, so you always know exactly where it is.
Is it safe and certified?
Is it safe and certified?
Our fire blanket is made from woven fiberglass designed to withstand the high temperatures of household kitchen fires, while staying lightweight and easy to handle. We're currently completing independent testing to European standard EN 1869 and will share the results here once finalized.
Is it reusable?
Is it reusable?
No, a fire blanket is single-use. Once it's been used on a fire, it should be safely discarded and replaced. We recommend keeping a spare so you're never left without protection, which is why many customers keep one in more than one room.
S
I bought one for myself and my mom absolutely loved it, so had to buy one for her also.
E
Looks like an actual book on my shelf, nobody would ever guess. Feels good knowing its right there in the living room instead of buried in a drawer somewhere.
M
Good!
S
Bought one for the kitchen and one for the upstairs landing. My husband thought it was silly at first but he actually likes how they look now. Quality is better than i expected for the price.
T
does what its supposed to and looks nice too
H
Got this for my parents as a housewarming and they absolutely loved it. My mum kept saying how clever the design is. Highly recommend if you want something practical that doesnt look like a boring safety kit.
D
Nice product fast shipping
L
I have three kids and a busy kitchen so having this within reach gives me such peace of mind. The blanket itself feels sturdy and the case is genuinely nice looking. Took maybe 5 seconds to pull it out when i tested opening it.
K
Solid quality. Bit smaller than i imagined but still works fine for a stovetop.
F
Honestly bought it more for the look than anything but its reassuring to have. Sits on my coffee table and guests always ask about it. The green one matches my interior perfectly.
P
Very good quality and the concept is smart. only reason im not giving 5 stars is delivery took a little longer than expected. product itself is great though.
N
exactly as described. happy customer
J
Such a clever idea. I always used to worry about where our old fire blanket was, it was stuffed in the back of a cupboard and honestly if a fire happened id never get to it in time. This one lives on the shelf and everyone in the house knows where it is.
C
Bought two, one beige one dark. Both look great together on the console table. Feels reassuring having them out in the open. Would recommend to anyone.
O
Fast delivery great product very happy thank you
M
great
A
Wasnt sure what to expect but im impressed. The material feels proper and thick, not flimsy. Case opens and closes easily. For the peace of mind alone its worth it.
S
not bad at all. would have liked it slightly bigger but for a kitchen fire it should be plenty. looks good on the counter.
K
I bought this after a small scare with a frying pan a few months back. Realised i had nothing to hand and it shook me up. Now theres one in the kitchen and it genuinely makes me feel safer cooking. Wish id had it sooner honestly.
M
Good buy. looks classy and hopefully i never need it but glad its there.
E
Lovely product and looks so elegant. Ordered the beige and it blends right in with my books, you really cant tell. Delivery was quick too.
C
would buy again 100%
J
Genuinely think every home should have one of these. We keep ours by the fireplace. Its the kind of thing you hope you never use but youll be so glad its there if you do. Cant fault it.
E
